The Palgrave Handbook of Sound Design and Music in Screen Media: Integrated Soundtracks

This new book co-edited by UCC Lecturer in Music Dr Danijela Kulezic-Wilson and Dr Liz Greene (Liverpool John Moores University) bridges the gap between film sound and film music studies by bringing together scholars from both disciplines. 

The main themes of the book – the integrated approach to soundtrack and the disintegration of the boundaries between its elements – permeate discussions about industry, labour, technology, aesthetics and audiovisual spectatorship. Scholarly essays are complemented by interviews with key practitioners in the industry, one of which was conducted by UCC member of staff John Hough.
