Following an incredible 2025, The OARS begin their 2026 adventures with a special performance in the iconic Ó Riada Hall at the Department of Music, UCC on Friday 30th January. Featuring singer/songwriter Eoin Coughlan and multi-instrumentalist Brian Morrissey, The OARS have lit up stages around the country including performances at Croke Park (with Robbie Williams and Garron Noone), Thomond Park, The Gaelic Grounds and a critically acclaimed appearance at Forest Fest. Their debut album was recorded and produced in Louisiana by multi-Grammy winner Dirk Powell who describes their music as follows: “Listening to The OARS, one gets drawn in first by the infectious rhythms and magnetic musical chemistry. The tunes and grooves are rock solid yet always moving. The songs arrive in the centre of this feeling, full of brave lyrics, vivid imagery, and fearless emotion. Their combination of rawness and finesse is truly rare and instantly engaging”.
