Masterclass with writer-director, Alan Gilsenan. Monday Nov. 13th at 15h, Film and Screen Media auditorium, Kane basement.

Alan Gilsenan is one of Ireland’s most acclaimed documentary filmmakers. Over the course of his 30 years as a writer-director, he has made such films as The Road to God Knows Where (1988); God Bless America: Gore Vidal (1995); All Soul's Day (1997); The Ghost of Roger Casement (2002); The Legend of Liam Clancy (2006); The Asylum (2006); The Hospice (2007); Paul Durcan: The Dark School (2007); The Yellow Bittern:The Life and Times of Liam Clancy (2009). His most recent film is the feature, Unless (2016), starring Catherine Keener and Hannah Gross.

Alan is the former Chairman of the Irish Film Institute, former member of Bord Scannán na hÉireann/the Irish Film Board, and of the RTÉ Authority.
