Congratulations to the MSc Human Anatomy class 2025 who graduated on Friday 31st  October 2025 at the UCC College of Medicine and Health Conferring Ceremony.

Dr Mutahira Lone, Director MSc Human Anatomy UCC, said "This year’s graduating MSc cohort reflects the truly international nature of the programme, attracting students from a wide range of countries and cultures", she added that she "was delighted to welcome back the graduates to UCC to celebrate their conferring ceremony together". Along with Professor Gerard O'Keeffe Head of Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience Dr Lone congratulated the graduates on the successful completion of their MSc in Human Anatomy degrees.

The very popular MSc in Human Anatomy is a well-established programme within the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience, it plays a very important role in postgraduate Anatomy education nationally and internationally, and it continues to receive extremely positive feedback from its graduates.  The MSc in Human Anatomy is full time 12-month student centred course, with a large dissection component, lectures, practicals, tutorials, seminars, and technology enhanced learning.

Dr Lone described how 'the MSc class brings together graduates from diverse academic backgrounds, including both science and non-science disciplines, creating a rich interdisciplinary learning environment', and that 'students find the course challenging and very rewarding', adding that 'she is delighted to see the different career paths which the graduates take following graduation', commenting that 'several have secured places in medical school, others are continuing their studies through further master’s programmes, while many are moving directly into professional roles across different sectors', Dr Lone wishes the class of 2025 continued success'.

The MSc in Human Anatomy course is of interest to graduates of medicine, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing, science, engineering, and other fields, interested in combining a postgraduate qualification in human anatomy with their skills base.  The course has a large dissection component which will provide participants with an exceptional opportunity to develop their dissection and anatomical knowledge in the FLAME laboratory, the Department's newly constructed state of the art human anatomy research laboratory.
