Prof Cryan Alive and Kicking with Dr Ciara Kelly on Newstalk Radio

Prof Cryan spoke with Dr. Ciara Kelly about his research work and upcoming Art Exhibiton 'Gut Instinct' on Newstalk Radio's new health and wellbeing show last Sunday morning.
Hitting the airwaves bright and early Professor Cryan chatted with Dr Kelly and explained the revolutionary work that he and his colleagues are undertaking in UCC APC Microbiome Institute. Prof Cryan described how our gut bacteria may be in fact be the master puppeteers of our brains, and how he and his translational team of researchers are unravelling the process by which microbes in the gut can actually change the process of brain development.
Ending a fascinating interview Prof Cryan tells Dr Kelly about the exciting Art Exhibition 'Gut Instinct' curated by Chris Clarke, John Cryan and Fiona Kearney in association with the APC Microbiome Institute UCC which will open in the Glucksman Gallery UCC on this Thursday 24th Nov. 'Gut Instinct Art, Food and Feeling' seeks to challenge the idea of gut instinct and looks at food, art and brain-gut signalling in a new and novel way, and perhaps understand what 'Gut Instinct' really means.
