Gordon Watson Intern’s Award Evening
On Monday 15th February, the third Gordon Watson Intern’s Award Evening was co hosted by UCC and RCSI.
The meeting was opened by Dr Naomi Davey and Dr Niall O’Mara outlining their new teaching initiative of Near Peer Teaching. The evening was a great success and provided a platform for interns in University Hospital Waterford to present interesting cases that they managed in their intern year. Eight high quality presentations were delivered, all of which deserved commendation. Dr Aisling Timmons was awarded the Gordon Watson prize for her compassionate presentation“Getting to the Creutz of the Matter-Diagnosing CJD”.
