October 2016 Graduations

Congratulations to Dr Joy Balta who was conferred with a PhD in Anatomy at the Autumn College of Medicine and Health conferring ceremony held on 28th October 2016.
Dr Balta undertook his research under the supervision of Dr. Siobhain O’Mahony and Prof. John Cryan and presented his theis entitled ‘Functional educational characterisation of the utility of embalming fluids for anatomical education and research’ for his doctorate.
Joy graduated with distinction from the MSc in Human Anatomy at the University of Dundee after which he joined the Lebanese American University as a tenured instructor of Anatomy before he moved to Ireland. In the past 3 years he has been working as a Senior Medical Demonstrator and conducting research for his PhD.
Currently he is working as a program development coordinator to develop a new postgraduate course in human anatomy at University College Cork.
