GA3008 Seminar with Darach Ó Scolaí, 2018

The novelist, playwright and publisher, Darach Ó Scolaí, visited UCC recently to speak to Final Year and MA students about the contemporary novel. 

Darach is pictured here with Dr Eimear Ní Chinnéide and some of the students taking GA3008 An tÚrscéal sa Ghaeilge. Afterwards, students in the MA in Modern Irish joined Darach for an informal seminar in the Seomra Caidrimh where they discussed fiction and publishing, as part of the Creative Writing module taught by Dr Ailbhe Ní Ghearbhuigh. Also present for the discussion was Dr Isobel Ní Riain, who teaches the poetry of Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill and Biddy Jenkinson on the MA in Modern Irish programme.
