Angela is a writer, theatre-maker and creative producer with experience developing scripts, supporting new writing, and facilitating new work predominantly in London and Edinburgh. She worked as a Producer with Big Ideas from 2019-2021, running community-building arts projects UK-wide. Alongside this she undertook RashDash Theatre Company’s Producer Mentorship Scheme. She was Assistant Producer and subsequently Head of Programming at Bedlam Theatre for Edinburgh Fringe 2018 and 2019, developing performing arts programmes with a focus on championing marginalised voices. She is also a founding member of Shrinking Violet, a company of queer and trans creatives who make bombastic, community-focused theatre, co-writing and producing their first two shows. This summer she worked as an Assistant Producer to Ameena Hamid Productions while completing her MA in Text & Performance at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and Birkbeck, University of London. Angela is passionate about connecting people across different communities and telling untold stories, and looks forward to working with UCC and Cork Opera House to do just that for Culture Night 2023.
