CurrentLee Arts Festival is an interactive event at Cork Opera House on the 10th of April, 2024. Overlooking the River Lee, the festival celebrates this unique city by bringing people in and of Cork together. In collaboration with Cork-based artists, we invite you to create and explore through an immersive journey within the Opera House.

A gathering space centred around fostering connections in a communal atmosphere with a variety of visual arts, dance, spoken word, and music.
Theatre Quest | 10.00 a.m. - 2.00 p.m. | Backstage at Cork Opera House
An adventure for primary school students to explore backstage at Cork Opera House.
See Memories Attached | 10.00 a.m. - 6.00 p.m. | Dressing Rooms of Cork Opera House
A series of multi-sensory immersive dressing room exhibitions that open doors to the inter-generational lives of six different Cork people.
The Maker’s Den | Workshops 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m. | 4.30 p.m. - 6.30 p.m. | Onstage Cork Opera House
Crafting workshops on the main stage of Cork Opera House where participants can take part in Lino Printing and Collaging led by Cork based artists.
Leeside promenade | 7.30 p.m. | Cork Opera House Foyer
A three part event where audiences journey through Cork Opera House in a celebration of Cork’s past, present and future.
Conversations with strangers | 9.30 p.m. | First Floor Bar Cork Opera House
A unique across-the-table event where everyone is welcome to engage in informal and open dialogue guided by curious and socially intriguing questions.

UCC Cork Opera House Partnership
UCC’s MA in Arts Management & Creative Producing represents the expanding programme of its School of Film, Music and Theatre and acknowledges the creative and critical role of the arts manager and producer in facilitating social engagement and enabling artists to bring great art to their audiences. Developed as part of a new partnership between UCC and Cork Opera House and inaugurated in 2019, the programme offers students with the opportunity of gaining meaningful practical experience in the professional environment of the theatre, mentorship with industry professionals, arts placements, and academic learning in a suite of modules taught by lecturers at UCC’s Department of Theatre, Cork University Business School, and guest practitioners.
