Bobby Gardiner celebration at the Willie Clancy Summer School

In July 2022, Bobby Gardiner’s enduring contribution to Irish traditional music was once again formally recognised at a tribute concert held at the Scoil Samhraidh Willie Clancy / Willie Clancy Summer School.

Presented by Dr. Ciarán Ó Gealbháin, a former student of Bobby’s and Lecturer in the Department of Folklore and Ethnology at University College Cork, performers at the event included a host of internationally-renowned traditional artists, including staff of the UCC Music Department.
