Film & Screen Media MA student Olivia Rose Barrameda Enos on programming for the Dublin International Film Festival
MA student Olivia Rose Barrameda Enos has been working with the Irish Film Curators Programme, hosted by the Dublin International Film Festival, to curate a three-day festival in the Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin from September 27-29.
Olivia's group was responsible for the Saturday strand, screening Horace Ove's 1976 film Pressure and Richard Fung's 2018 documentary short, Nang by Nang. Commenting on the programme, Olivia stated "The former has never received an Irish premiere, and the latter presented us with a great opportunity to interview and speak with the director. We are looking at themes of Trinidadian identity and diaspora in our strand."
