CACSSS Taught Master's Scholarships 2013/14

4 Mar 2013

Deadline for applications Wednesday, 15 May 2013

The College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences Taught Master’s Scholarships are a funding initiative for Humanities and Social Sciences graduates (excluding Mathematics, Law and Commerce/Business) who wish to carry out a Taught Master’s programme in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences (CACSSS) at University College Cork, Ireland. The Taught Master’s Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and will cover tuition fees. Applicants must have at least Second Class Honours (Grade 1) or equivalent in their first or subsequent degree. Applications are invited from students who will commence a Taught Master’s programme in Autumn 2013.

Please note that the CACSSS Masters Scholarships are open to EU and non-EU students, but the funding will only cover the EU fee, so successful non-EU applicants will be responsible for the balance.

For more information, please see the Terms and Conditions and speak to the programme co-ordinator for the relevant Taught Master’s degree.

Please note that, as the scholarship pertains to Taught Master’s programmes, applicants may not have already decided on a dissertation project at this stage. Therefore, regarding section 14 ‘Statement of Interest’, applicants should outline their reasons for wanting to pursue the particular Taught Master’s programme in question, and describe what research topic(s) might potentially interest them.

Applicants, in particular those from outside UCC, may choose to have a letter of support provided by a referee from another institution.

Please see the following link which contains the application form, terms and conditions and the letter of support:
