Successful PhD defence for Áine Kearns
From all of us in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology at University College Cork, we wish Áine Kearns sincere congratulations upon successfully defending her PhD research thesis.
During her viva, Áine demonstrated significant knowledge in the area of ICT and its role in supporting rehabilitation for people with aphasia as well as speech and language therapists. Her application and evaluation of a range of methodologies from qualitative and quantitative paradigms were a great strength to the thesis. The examiners were particularly impressed with Áine's ability to combine such a range of methods with rigour and critical reflection.
