In the second semester of third year DSA students undertake a 6 month Work Placement in industry (this placement is an integral part of the students degree). This programme is run in conjunction with the Career Services Office in UCC. Work Placement is a partnership between the student, the employer and the University. This experience gives students the opportunity to gain practical experience relevant to their course and allows them to put into practice the theories and methodologies studied at University. Students complete their third year examinations in December and are available for employment for a period of six months, from March to August inclusive.
