Employability

Looking towards 2019, the technology sector is going from strength to strength across all disciplines, with roles such as including Project Manager, Business Analyst, Product Manager, Java and .Net Developer, Security, Systems Administrators and Network Engineers set to continue to be popular roles in the year to come. The market for AI/ Machine Learning professionals is forecast to take centre stage in 2019 as we anticipate more employers will begin advertising specialized roles in this niche area.

Focusing on the capital firstly, there has been continuous demand for professionals across the core development languages, which is expected to continue into the new year. In addition to this, Data, UX, Security and PMO have also emerged as big growth areas within technology. Demand has been mainly fueled in this region by the SME, Startup and Banking sectors, due to significant growth in each area. We have noticed particular interest from Financial Services institutions as technology and digital innovation has been a core focus area throughout 2018. Many tech companies within Dublin are designing increasingly complex digital products for an international audience. As a result, we've seen a growth in demand for talented UX Designers; ones who can help shape these products with the end user in mind.*
