Campus Bat Trail
Tuesday 12 October, 7-8pm
Are you bats about bats?!
Join us on campus with National Parks and Wildlife Services (NPWS) as they lead a Bat Trail around the UCC Campus. During this event, brought to you by the UCC Environment Society, you will get to discover and experience using echosounders to detect and identify bats. Learn more about these fascinating creatures and how we can help care for them and their habitats.
This public event is outdoors - so wrap up warm!
Please register in advance by email. Send contact name for yourself and all members of a group booking to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Together with and for Community
NPWS - The National Parks and Wildlife Service is part of the Heritage Division of the Department of Housing, Local Government & Heritage. Notice Nature is Ireland’s biodiversity public awareness programme, providing information on places to visit, educational resources and events nationwide.
UCC Environmental Society - UCC Envirosoc is the university’s environmental society. Envirosoc aims to promote a greener, more sustainable way of life through events such as workshops, film screenings, trips away and debates, as well as fund-raisers for various charities.
UCC Community Week: This event is part of UCC Community Week 2021. During Community Week, staff and students across the university come together with community and public sector partners to host community focussed events and activities. The week long programme of events celebrates UCC as a civically engaged university.
