Access UCC - Further Education Transitions

Wednesday 13 October, 3.00-4.00pm

Join us as we place a spotlight on the mechanisms of applying to third level learning, and explain more about entry requirements for specific courses, highlighting supports that are available to support you on your journey to and through higher education.

Over a quarter of our undergraduate students enter UCC via Access pathways. The UCC Access Office delivers outreach activities thoughout the region to support transitions to higher education, including through Mature Student routes and QQI/FET admissions.

This event will highlight the broad range of UCC courses and the supports available to prospective students considering applying either as QQI or Mature applicants. A panel from Access UCC will discuss with students and staff from further education the various options, entry routes and supports available. This will be followed by a Q&A with attendees.

Together with and for Community

UCC Access: Our UCC Access team regularly provies outreach across the region and welcomes queries directly from students about entry routes to UCC, including the HEAR and DARE schemes, Mature Student routes and QQI/FET admissions. Contact us now to discuss UCC’s assistive technology supports, budgetary advice, disability support services, financial supports, grants and bursaries, or any information required to support your progression to UCC.

UCC Community Week: This event is part of UCC Community Week 2021. During Community Week, staff and students across the university come together with community and public sector partners to host community focussed events and activities. The week long programme of events celebrates UCC as a civically engaged university.
