Out in the Field: CECAS at Myross Wood House

Boole 4, Thursday 14 October, 5-6.30pm

This event will hosts an introductory conversation between Centre of Excellence for Climate Action and Sustainability (CECAS), Myross Wood House, the Environmental Research Institute and Cork Centre for Architectural Education at UCC. Discussions will focus on exploring future opportunities for engagement and connections between campus, academic courses and the future plans for this new environmental centre based in West Cork. Students, faculty and community will gather on campus at UCC to help shape the ambition and opportunity to advance collabortaion to develop a range of 'in the field' experiences: including field trips, academic seminars, study weeks, and residential offerings for students and faculties alike over the coming years.

UCC Students Union: UCC Students’ Union is the chief representative body for students in UCC. UCCSU is a democratic organisation run by 6 full time officers elected by the student body. 

Environmental Research Institute:  This event is supported by the Environmental Research Institute (ERI). ERI is a flagship UCC institute that integrates over 400 researchers from 20 University schools and departments and 6 research centres to work together to accelerate the transition to a sustainable society.

UCC Community Week: This event is part of UCC Community Week 2021. During Community Week, staff and students across the university come together with community and public sector partners to host community focussed events and activities. The week long programme of events celebrates UCC as a civically engaged university.
