CIRTL Workshop: Integrating Critical Thinking into Educational Settings

Critical thinking is consistently identified as a core outcome of third-level education; however, it is often the case that both students and educators are left unsure of the mechanics behind such skill and knowledge transfer.
Research indicates that this uncertainty may stem from extant difficulties in conceptualising critical thinking and its subsequent instruction. The aim of the current workshop is to help facilitate educators in their integration of critical thinking into various instructional environments with respect to understanding what critical thinking is, how it can be transferred and how to get the best out of their students.
