Inclusive Assessment
The Inclusive Assessment course aims to provide professional development training to UCC Staff on inclusive assessment. Participants will be introduced to the concept of inclusive assessment and Universal Design for Learning, the framework that underlies this course. The course will explore the benefits and importance of inclusive assessment and will also provide an overview of Inclusive Assessment in Practice, including case studies from UCC colleagues. The course will also cover topics such as Academic Integrity, and how to navigate the Module Change processes in UCC.
The Inclusive Assessment course will launch in Semester 2 of the 2022/2023 Academic Year and will be open to all staff with responsibility for assessment. There are two options for completion: a Self-directed Pathway; and a Digital Badge Pathway. Participants in the Self-directed pathway will gain access to Canvas content that they can complete at their own pace. Those undertaking the Digital Badge pathway will complete course content on Canvas, participate in a workshop, and will complete a reflective exercise. The Digital Badge will require approximately 20 hours of learner effort.
