Currently, professor of Politics at Nazarbayev University, Kazakhstan and PI on a Horizon 2020 project on cultural and scientific diplomacy. A recent book, co-authored with David O'Brien (UCC PhD), Everyday Politics of China, MUP. Previous posts at Ulster, Liverpool, Birmingham and City University New York.
