Project Description

This project was an integral component of the University Environmental Development Plan and provides a direct link from the university lower grounds to Perrotts Inch and onto the Western road. The project also involves landscaping works which provide an attractive but distinctive extension to the lower grounds parkland.

Update

The official opening and ribbon cutting of the Cavanagh Bridge was held on 11th December 2018, in the presence of Dr. Tom Cavanagh, President of UCC Professor Patrick O'Shea and Mr Mark Poland, Director Buildings and Estates.

The Cavanagh Bridge was awarded the overall prize at the Concrete Society Awards in 2018.
