Thu, 8 Sep 2011

BEES Graduates September 2011 Congratulations to the Class of 2011!

It is my pleasure to extend my congratulations, and that of the entire School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences (BEES), on this very special day, your graduation.  You have worked hard in your individual subjects and in the generic programmes we offer in the School, and today is your day to celebrate and ours to say: Well done!

We very much valued you as a member of the School for the last four years and we look forward to you continuing your link with BEES as a member of the great UCC alumni.  We ask you to please keep in touch using one of the BEES social media platforms (http://www.ucc.ie/en/bees/) either Facebook, Twitter, web, blogging, email or by popping in to say hello.

We will be delighted to help guide you in the next stage of your career and for those of you staying with us to participate in graduate programmes (Masters and PhDs) we look forward to you contributing in new ways.  To those moving on to new fields we wish you well - we hope that you too will keep in touch.  We want to build a strong network of BEES graduates who can support other BEES graduates and provide opportunities in the future. We would welcome any suggestions on how we might make our research-led programmes at BEES better.  Perhaps someday you might help us in acting to support BEES.

You will always be part of our BEES Community. I wish you well. Thank you for contributing to our lives in the past four years - we hope your time here has been enjoyable, inspiring and stimulating.

I thank you and I ask that you keep in touch to make BEES and UCC a better place for you and future generations.

Congratulations and enjoy a long and happy life!

John O’Halloran BSc PhD DSc

Head of School
