Congratulations to Ger O'Keeffe on the award of UCC Research Supervisor of the Year 2019

Congratulations to Dr Gerard O'Keeffe on the award of UCC Research Supervisor of the Year 2019. This award recognises UCC researchers making exceptional and influential research contributions, pushing boundaries, enhancing knowledge in UCC.
Dr O' Keeffe is a Senior Lecturer and Principal Investigator in the Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience at University College Cork, where he is Director of the Brain Development and Repair Group. His lab is affiliated with Irish Centre for Fetal and Neonatal Translational Research (INFANT) and the APC Microbiome Institute. He has been elected to the governing body of the Anatomical Society and currently sits on the council acting as the deputy treasurer. Gerard has also been appointed a Fellow at the Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning at UCC, where he explores authentic learning pedagogies and works as a mentor for staff undertaking Certificate and Diplioma qualifications in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
