1514-2014 The Legacy of Andreas Vesalius

‘1514-2014 The Legacy of Andreas Vesalius - Challenging Medical Education' is the title of the forthcoming Symposium and Art Exhibition to be held in Brookfield Health Sciences Complex.

Organised by Dr André Toulouse and Professor John Cryan, Department of Anatomy and Neuroscience UCC,  the event 500 years after the birth of Andreas Vesalius will explore his influence on the study of anatomy and medical education.  Andreas Vesalius author of one of the most influential books on human anatomy, De humani corporis fabrica (On the Fabric of the Human Body), is often referred to as the founder of modern human anatomy.
