Dr Eric Downer's research features in MS News
Dr. Downer’s research featured in MS Ireland’s national newletter.
The research conducted by Dr. Eric Downer, Dept. Anatomy and Neuroscience, has been featured in MS Ireland’s newsletter. Dr. Downer has teamed up with Consultant Neurologist Dr. Orna O’Toole at the Mercy University Hospital, to profile the inflammatory status of immune cells in newly diagnosed patients. His research team continue to unravel the therapeutic potential of cannabinoid compounds in the disease, and this research angle is the focus of the MS Ireland piece.
Dr. Downer also delivered a talk on the therapeutic role of cannabinoids at a one day conference to mark World MS Day. This is also featured in the newsletter.
