Digital Records Management Project

UCC’s Digital Records Management (DRM) Project involves a complete upgrade of the University’s RM framework. A new Records Management Policy was approved in May 2018. Records Retention Schedules (control documents setting out retention periods and disposal actions for groupings of records) have been developed with colleagues and approved by heads of Functional Areas. Supporting procedures, guidance, and information have been prepared and are available on this site.
The University Archives, working closely with IT Services and other key stakeholders, is currently beginning to roll out implementation of the new records management framework in selected pilot areas. Implementation and supporting training and guidance will gradually be extended to all areas of the University.
The latest information and documentation on Records Management is available on this website. But if you have specific queries not covered here, please contact the University Archives: archives@ucc.ie (Ext 2753).
