ISL HEALTH: Supporting the effective implementation of the Irish Sign Language Act 2017 in public healthcare settings

The ISL HEALTH project, funded by the Irish Research Council, was carried out by researchers from the School of Applied Social Studies & ISS21 in University College Cork, in partnership with the Cork Deaf Association and Kerry Deaf Resource Centre.

In this online seminar the project team presented the key findings and recommendations from the project, which aims to support the effective implementation of the Irish Sign Language Act 2017 in public healthcare settings. There were also contributions from the HSE's National Office for Human Rights and Equality Policy (ISL HEALTH consultative partner) and SignHealth (UK-based organisation focused on Deaf health and wellbeing).

Further details and a copy of the report are available on the project website at: ISL-HEALTH: | University College Cork (ucc.ie)
