Four projects funded under IRC New Foundations

New Foundations Awards
We are delighted to announce that the following ISS21-affiliated projects have been awarded funding under the Irish Research Council's 2022 New Foundations Programme:
- Volunteer Recognition: developing questions for the Irish Census Dr Shirley Martin (PI) (School of Applied Social Studies & ISS21) and Dr Margaret Scanlon (ISS21). Partner organisation: Cork Volunteer Centre.
- Youth Volunteering: building capacity for the future Professor Fred Powell (PI), Dr Eileen Hogan and Dr Shirley Martin (School of Applied Social Studies & ISS21). Partner organisation: Cork Volunteer Centre.
- TEENVOICET1D: Developing a Public Patient Involvement (PPI) Panel of Adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes. Dr. Carol Kelleher (PI) (Management and Marketing & ISS21), Dr. Eluska Fernandez (School of Applied Social Studies & ISS21) and Dr Colin Hawkes (CUH/UCC). Partner organisation: Cork University Hospital Charity.
- Towards a Feminist Framework for Older Women and Care: implications for policy and practice. Dr Cliona Loughnane (ISS21). Partner organisation: The National Women’s Council. (Details to follow)
