FUAIM Concert - Ás Veces - 29/11/24, 1:10pm, Aula Maxima
12 Sep 2024
Happening On
22/11/2024

We are very sorry to announce that the
FUAIM concert scheduled for this coming Friday by Iranian
santur player, Ramtin Nazarijou, will not go ahead as planned. We apologise sincerely for the short notice and for any disappointment or inconvenience caused by this - we very much share the disappointment!
We do, however, have a wonderful band lined up to play at the same time this Friday and would like to extend a warm welcome to all to join us for a performance by original, eclectic, Cork-based ensemble,
Ás Veces - in the Aula Maxima or online on the Music at UCC livestream. Fáilte roimh chách!
Ás Veces are an eclectic group of multicultural musicians based in Cork, Ireland. They perform all original compositions, mixing voice, instrumentation and tech. Their sound is unique, with the siren-like vocals of Lady Fi (Cork), the haunting cello of Cayetana Arenas (Galicia), Alessandro Amato (Spain/Italy) on 12-string guitar lines, and the tasty rhythms of Jorge Kachmari (USA) on percussion.
Drawing on their collective varied experiences and styles, they meld together something truly distinctive: it's
textured, performative and powerful.
In 2024
Ás Veces
performed a sold out show at Kinsale Arts Weekend, on the Serenity Gardens stage at Electric Picnic in Stradbally, Sounds Original at The Roundy, What's the Scéal at The Pav, KIN Summer at Connolly's of Leap & monthly at The Bru.
They are in the process of recording their first EP.
