Chinese Director Jianjie Lin visits UCC

Students of the BA in Film & Screen Media recently participated in a masterclass with Chinese director Lin Jianjie who screened his first feature film Brief History of a Family as part of the East Asian Film Festival at the Triskel Arts Centre, Cork.
Lin cited Pat Murphy, former Arts Council/UCC Film Artist in Residence as an important influence on his work when she tutored him at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. You can read more about the extraordinary Brief History of a Family, which premiered at Sundance 2024 here.
