The 2023 Puttnam Scholars have commenced pre-production on their Scholarship film after a “writing room” session with Oscar-winning film producer and digital education pioneer Lord David Puttnam in Hayfield Manor last week.

Their creative skills will now be put to the test as they work together to produce an original film which will premiere at the Cork International Film Festival in November. Last year’s Scholars have already attained great success with their film Hyphen which premiered to a sold-out Triskel at last year’s CIFF and will screen at the Fastnet Film Festival in May. The film has also been nominated for a prestigious Learning on Screen Award, and the scholars and star of the film, Azeem Azeez, will attend the awards ceremony in London next month. More details on the Scholarship may be found here.
