Exciting new research project: Movie-going memories in the county of Cork.

We are delighted to announce a new research project, funded by Cork County Council/Creative Ireland and the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences, on movie-going memories in the county of Cork.

If you grew up in rural Cork and have memories of going to the movies and of the significance of movie theatres in your town/village, we’d be delighted to hear from you. We’ll be interviewing potential participants in October, right here on the UCC campus. The material will form part of an online archive and also a short film that will be screened at the Fastnet Film Festival in Schull in May 2018.
