Alphaville: Journal of Film and Screen Media, Issue 28 Now Available Online

Issue 28 - Moving Beyond the (De)Colonial Container: The Work of Film Festivals
Edited by Estrella Sendra and Sheila Petty
The new issue of Alphaville, the peer-reviewed journal published in the Department of Film and Screen Media at UCC, has just been published. In “Moving Beyond the (De)Colonial Container: The Work of Film Festivals”, editors Estrella Sendra (King’s College London) and Sheila Petty (regina) have brought together a range of inspiring contributions that present and debate innovative methods of decolonising knowledge in screen cultures. As they write: “Beginning with the question of what and whose knowledge is privileged, we seek to […] theorize and historicise (de)colonial frameworks for engaging with all aspects of film festivalisation.” The issue is complemented by the book reviews section edited by Jill Murphy.
Alphaville is a diamond OA journal. All its contents are freely available online.
