Amalgam Study funded by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency)

Dentists at Cork Univeristy Dental School & Hospital commence 12 month project funded by the EPA.
The project is entitled "Usage and Waste Management of Amalgam Dental Fillings and Mecury Free Alternatives". This is a 12 month project, the main aim of which is to conduct a survey of general dental practitioners in Ireland to determine the approximate number of amalgam fillings being placed in Ireland. It will also investigate the attitudes towards the current phase down of dental amalgam. The project team are Dr Martina Hayes, Dr Frank Burke, Prof Chris Lynch, Dr Mairead Harding & Ms Aileen Callanan.
