BEES Academic meets with EU Commissioner

BEES academic Prof. John Gamble met EU Commissioner for Research, Innovation and Science Máire Geoghegan-Quinn, along with many members of the public at a unique event in Galway last week.
The Sea2Sky event was held in Galway on Friday 23rd September 2011 as part of European Researchers' Night 2011 - a Europe-wide event bringing together the public and researchers. Sea2Sky was organised by NUI Galway and was a celebration of science "in inner and outer space".
Prof. Gamble was representing BEES on the Marine Institute stand and, in particular, speaking about the highly successful VENTuRE mission which was led by Dr. Andy Wheeler of the School of BEES earlier in the summer.
