Dr O'Mahony publishes paper in Cancer Nursing Journal
Mairin is an active member of the Enhancing Cancer Awareness and Survivorship Programmes (E.CASP) research group.
Dr Mairin O’Mahony, lecturer at the school of Nursing and Midwifery, through her recent publication provides a deeper understanding of the emotional aspects of women's experience around breast symptom discovery. She highlights the tension between the discourses of "emotion" and "rationality" which further informs our understanding of women's help-seeking behaviour following self-discovered symptoms.
