Pictured are the Doctoral students and their supervisors during a break on their recent away day hosted in the Clarion Hotel, Cork City.
Wednesday 11th December 2013: Doctoral students and their supervisors had a very successful interactive day of scholarly discussion at their recent away day hosted in the Clarion Hotel, Cork City. Topics for discussion included: Perspectives on ‘reality’ and ‘knowledge’, writing a literature review, concept analysis, online data collection, methodological challenges, and preparations for the VIVA. Such days facilitate students and supervisors to openly discuss the challenges of and opportunities afforded by doctoral level research.
