Dr John Danis Memorial Plaque

The Dr John Danis Memorial Plaque was unveiled by Professor John Higgins, Head, College of Medicine and Health, UCC and Ms Myla Karpinski (Dr Danis’s daughter) at the Medical Alumni Conference in September 2012. A citation was delivered by Dr Bill O’Dwyer.

The Dr John Danis Memorial Plaque serves as a reminder of Dr Danis’s enormous contribution to University College Cork. Dr Danis was an outstanding UCC medical graduate and loyal ambassador for his alma mater, who, together with fellow American graduates and UCC contemporaries, spearheaded the development of the UCC Medical Alumni network.
