Dr Adam Hanna recently visited three universities in China to forge new academic links and raise the profile the UCC School of English in the region. He spoke about the poetry of Seamus Heaney at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and gave a presentation about UCC’s summer schools at its partner university, Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (pictured).
He also visited Hong Kong University, where John Fitzgerald and Jean van Sinderen-Law from UCC gave a presentation to a full house about one of the manuscript treasures of the UCC library, The Great Book of Ireland.
