Dr Patrick Egan appointed lecturer in Digital Humanities
Digital Humanities at University College Cork is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Patrick Egan as a lecturer in the department.
Patrick Egan (Pádraig Mac Aodhgáin), PhD, is an international, interdisciplinary scholar specialising in digital humanities, ethnomusicology and archival metadata. He is a lecturer in Digital Cultures and as a wide-ranging creative he is also a performer of Irish traditional music on concertina. Patrick is a researcher of cultural heritage, working with digital artefacts, digital preservation workflow, digital timeline visualisation and regularly contributes research papers at conferences in Ireland, England, Europe and North America.
Patrick will play a key role in the delivery of the department's MA programmes, particularly the MA in Digital Cultures.
