Dr Máirín MacCarron awarded IRC Consolidator Laureate research grant
Dr Máirín MacCarron, Lecturer in Digital Humanities at UCC, has been awarded an Irish Research Council Consolidator Laureate research grant for her project 'Time for Women? Gender, chronology and historiography before AD 900 (GENCHRON).'
The project grant, worth €600,000, will allow MacCarron and her team to examine the gendered nature of time and chronology in medieval sources and in modern historiography to better understand the presence and absence of women in the historical record, and the presentation of women’s lives in time.
