Ellen Hutchins Festival
Dr Padraig Whelan will give a guided talk as part of the upcoming festical celebrating Ireland's first female botanist.
Born in west Cork in 1785, Ellen Hutchins is a well known as an early Irish botanist, especially noted for her botanical illustrations. Her specimens are in some of the most significant botanical collections in Ireland, UK and USA.
As part of the Ellen Hutchins festival, Dr Padraig Whelan will present a guided walk of Glengarriff Nature Reserve on Saturday 27th August. More details of the festival can be found at ellenhutchins.com
