River Management and Restoration in Spain

Four BEES PhD students (Fergus Mc Auliffe, Ruth Enright, Lucas Jagodzinski and Maria Kirrane) took part in the Erasmus Life Long Learning intensive research program “River Management and Restoration in the Atlantic Arc”.


The program was based in the River Narcea basin in Asturias, Northern Spain. The students conducted a water quality study of the river coupled with a social study of the river’s stakeholders.
