The Student Health Department does not function as a GP service. We are unable to visit you in your home and do not provide a service outside our office-opening hours. If you believe you need to be seen urgently, or at a time when Student Health is closed and unavailable, contact your GP service or out of hours service in your locality for advice and care. COVID-19 Closure

THE UCC CAMPUS AND UCC STUDENT HEALTH CENTRE IS CLOSED FROM 6PM ON 12/03/2020 IN LINE WITH THE GOVENRMENT DIRECTIVE THAT ALL HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS CLOSE. NO ON-SITE APPOINTMENTS WILL OPERATE DURING THIS SHUTDOWN PERIOD

YOU ARE ADVISED TO CONTACT YOUR OWN LOCAL GP OR OUT OF HOURS SERVICE DURING THE PERIOD OF CLOSURE.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND IN PERSON AT A HEALTHCENTRE OR YOUR GP PRACTICE IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE RESPIRATORY SYMPTOMS, FEVER OR COVID-19 .

Accident and Emergency

Accident and Emergency services are available in the local hospitals, CUH and MUH, but these services are intended for accidents and emergencies only. In emergency including COVID-19 emergencies dial 112

There is a charge for those who attend the Accident & Emergency Departments in General Hospitals  

Atendance at Emergency Departments  is free to medical card holders, those with a referral letter from their doctor, those with E111, E109, E128, European Health Cards and to all UK students.
