House Visits and Out of Hours

The Student Health Department does not function as a GP service. We are unable to visit you in your home and do not provide a service outwith our opening hours. If you believe you need to be seen urgently, or at a time when Student Health is closed and unavailable, contact your GP service in the locality for advice and care.

For any students who are not yet registered with a GP in the locality,  Dr. Colm Gleeson  and his practice are available

You are responsible for any fees incurred.

Accident and Emergency services are available in the local hospitals, CUH and MUH, but these services are intended for accidents and emergencies only.

There is a charge for those who attend the Accident & Emergency Departments in General Hospitals  

Atendance at Emergency Departments  is free to medical card holders, those with a referral letter from their doctor, those with E111, E109, E128, European Health Cards and to all UK students.
