UCC Contests Three All-Ireland Finals
Wednesday December 4th is a very important day for UCC GAA as three of our teams contest All Ireland League Finals in Dublin, in the same venue (DCU GAA Grounds) with two of those games being live streamed.
What makes it so special is that we have two Ladies Gaelic Football teams contesting their respective finals at intermediate and senior level. Both games are on in DCU and our senior team are first out, playing DCU in the Division 1 Final at 6.30pm. At 8pm it's the turn of our Intermediate team who take on University of Ulster in their Division 2 Final.
It's a great time to play women's GAA in college as our senior camogie team have already been crowned All Ireland Senior League champions last week when the girls defeated UL in the final. With all the pressure of exams and all that kind of stuff, it is rewarding to see the utter dedication of these women to their chosen sport and we wish them the best.
Almost as a side note the lads get in on the act as well as our senior football team take on DCU in their Division 1 Final at 8pm as well. Maybe we might win three All Ireland's , maybe we might win none but it is important to recognise the effort and success of our students
For those of you who may wish to watch these games, the format is:
@ 6.30pm Senior Ladies Division 1 Final UCC v DCU Live Streamed on National Ladies Gaelic Football You Tube Channel
@ 8pm Senior Men's Division 1 Final UCC v DCU Live Streamed on Higher Education GAA You Tube Channel
@ 8pm Division 2 Ladies Football Final UCC v DCU Not being streamed
