UMass Lowell Delegation Visit UCC
UCC President Professor John O’Halloran welcomed a delegation from UMass Lowell to UCC on Monday 27 March.
UMass Lowell and UCC have enjoyed a rich and rewarding sustainability partnership since 2015. In that time, the sustainability work of both universities has excelled with both being recognised as national and international leaders in this space.
The group first visited the UCC ERI Beaufort Building in Ringsakiddy on Monday morning where they enjoyed research presentations from both UMass and UCC delegates, before touring the Lir National Ocean Test Facility and engaging in a hybrid meeting with Queen’s University Belfast representatives.
The delegation later visited the President’s Office and engaged in discussions focussing on sustainability, climate action, renewable energy and more before signing a Memorandum of Understanding that will allow a continued rewarding partnership to prosper between the two universities.
