Dr Lisa Kiely secures a place on Irish Clinical Academic Training (ICAT) programme
Major congratulations to Dr Lisa Kiely who becomes the second Specialist Registrar from the dermatology department in the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital to secure a place on the prestigious Irish Clinical Academic Training (ICAT) programme.
The ICAT programe is an elite, all-Ireland, cross-institutional, comprehensive national programme for Clinician Scientists based at six major Irish universities and their affiliated hospital groups. ICAT offers an academic clinical training programme, incorporating a PhD, for clinician scientists in human, veterinary and dental medicine, integrated with the health services and university clinical research centres, which will prepare graduates for exciting and rewarding careers as clinician scientists. Only the top 8 young researchers from the island of Ireland are awarded a place on this distinguished scheme each year. Well done Lisa!
