2018 Irish Survey of Student Engagement (ISSE)

18 Mar 2018
Deadline for Participation Sunday March 18th

The Irish Survey of Student Engagement (ISSE) 2018 has launched in UCC.  We are asking for your support in encouraging students to participate in the survey.  The greater the response-rate, the richer and more reliant the dataset gathered.

This national survey of students was introduced in 2013 to improve feedback from students on the student experience in higher education institutions across Ireland and is now undertaken annually during the second semester. The survey asks students about their experiences of higher education and is designed to inform developments within institutions while also providing a national set of data - "National Survey, Local Impact."

The survey for taught students (first year and final year undergraduate, and taught postgraduate) opened on 26th February and will remain open until 18th March 2018.  The new, separate, ISSE for Postgraduate Research Students is also open during the same dates. The survey is issued to students via email to their UCC Umail account and it’s also available at http://studentsurvey.ie.

The Irish Survey of Student Engagement is a priority for UCC and is a powerful tool for capturing the student voice.  However, please note that this university-wide survey is not a substitute for or alternative to the module surveying activity which staff members will be engaged with at local Department/School levels.  This survey is in parallel with and independent of local arrangements for surveying of module/programmes in your disciplines.

All constructive feedback in welcomed.
